HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL DRAGON BOAT RACES

The Down Under Dogs touring squad recently made waves at the historic Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races, celebrating the event's 50th anniversary at Tsim Sha Tsui. 

Competing in the rigorous 500m standard boat races, our squad fielded a premier women’s crew, a premier open crew, and two premier mixed crews—all of which successfully qualified for the semi-finals on Day 1. Standout performances included our women's crew capturing a brilliant bronze medal in Day 1's international competition and securing an impressive 5th place in the event grand championship final on Day 2. 

Beyond the water, the squad embraced the local culture with an unforgettable bolt-on sightseeing tour, featuring an authentic egg tart baking and HK milk tea brewing workshop, a fascinating walk through the historic Kowloon Walled City, and a scenic hike up Devil’s Peak for breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong.
